Franklin Tomorrow Goals and Strategies for Housing as identified in 2011 Vision Fair process:
GOAL: A diverse range of housing options to satisfy the economic and social needs of a developing/progressive community
Strategies:
1. Support efforts to eliminate barriers to the development of affordable, workforce, senior, and special-needs housing
2. Raise public awareness about housing issues among elected and government officials, community stakeholders, and the general public
3. Generate community support for the Franklin Housing Authority’s redevelopment plan
4. Advocate for the adoption of a Housing Plan focused on redevelopment, community revitalization, and preserving the City’s existing housing stock
5. Foster collaboration and form partnerships to leverage the available resources and experience offered by the public sector, private sector, and local non-profit organizations
