FRANKLIN TOMORROW, FRIENDS OF FRANKLIN PARKS ASK COMMUNITY TO PARTICIPATE LOCALLY IN #GIVINGTUESDAY
Franklin Tomorrow and Friends of Franklin Parks LLC, have joined #GivingTuesday, an effort to harness the collective power of a unique blend of partners — charities, families, business, and individuals — to transform how people think about, talk about, and participate in the giving season.
While many people may be anxiously awaiting the advertisements for Black Friday or Cyber Monday shopping, others are looking for ways to ensure the joy of the holiday season is centered around helping others and the agencies and organizations which serve the communities in which we live.
#GivingTuesday is a way to inspire people to take a collaborative action to improve their local communities, give back in better, smarter ways to the charities and causes they support, and help create a better community and world!
Taking place Tuesday, December 2, 2014 — the Tuesday after Thanksgiving — #GivingTuesday will hopefully inspire personal philanthropy and encourages bigger, better and smarter charitable giving during the holiday season.
