Clyde currently lives in Buckingham Park Subdivision (Hwy 96E and Mack Hatcher)
He was raised in Decatur, Georgia (suburb of Atlanta)
Clyde is a Community Bank President with BancorpSouth
Since moving to the Nashville area in 1986, Clyde has served as a volunteer board member with various Nashville community organizations including the Nashville Symphony, March of Dimes, Nashville Institute for the Arts, Tennessee Reperatory Theater, Cumberland Region Tomorrow and the National Commodore Club of Vanderbilt University. He has served as a non-Board member volunteer for United Way, the Blair School of Music, the Vanderbilt Institute for Public Policy Studies, the Owen Affiliates of the Owen School of Business at Vanderbilt University, and the Massey Associates of the Belmont University School of Business. He is a founding Board Member of the Belmont University Center for Ethics in Business. He has served as president of the Board of Oasis Center and Board Chair of the PENCIL Foundation for Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools.
Clyde’s current community activity specific to Williamson County includes his service as Secretary/Treasurer of Oasis Center, on the Board of the Williamson County Chapter of Red Cross, and on the Board of Franklin Tomorrow. Additionally, he supports with volunteer time and resources the efforts of the Williamson County United Way and its “On the Ground” Men’s Group, Mercy Children’s Clinic, Hard Bargain Mount Hope Redevelopment, Inc., Habitat for Humanity of Williamson County and Leadership Franklin.
